Ex-THE DARKNESS Singer JUSTIN HAWKINS Plots Solo Comeback
November 10, 2006Former THE DARKNESS singer Justin Hawkins told Neil Sean of Sky News that he hopes to make a comeback next year at the Brit Awards after disappointing sales of the band's latest album "One Way Ticket to Hell... And Back".
Justin, who took home a clutch of awards at the 2004 Brits, recently had a stint in rehab for his cocaine and alcohol problems.
"I'm planning a solo career but I may rejoin the band again at some stage," he said. "We all need some space right now."
The rest of the group has reportedly vowed to carry on without him, with bass player Richie Edwards (who replaced Frankie Poullain in May last year) expected to take over as frontman.
